In an innovative development, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made the decision to separate with two of their coaches ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has shot Chandrakant Pandit as the main coach of the franchise, and have also separated in ways with the bowling coach Bharat Arun.

The well -considered national coach Pandit was named the lead coach of Kolkata Knight Riders after Brendon McCullum separated from ways with the franchise to join the National Clicet team in England.
Pandit took over KKR’s lead coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and remained part of the creation until the 2025 season.
In their debut season at the helm, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) struggled to act and finished in seventh place. Things changed significantly the following season, as the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) went on to raise their third title of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In an official statement, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) stated that Pandit has decided to explore new opportunities and wished him luck for the future.
“Thank you Chandu Sir. Mr. Chandrakant Pandit has decided to explore new opportunities and will not continue as the main coach of Kolkata Knight Riders.
“We appreciate his indispensable contributions, including KKR leadership in the Tata IPL championship in 2024 and helping to build a strong and resistant workforce. His leadership and discipline have left a lasting impact on the team. We wish him all the best for the future,” KKR said in an official statement.

In the meantime, a toi journalist has stated that Bharat Arun, a KKR bowling coach, has also been dropped by the franchise and will join the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) before the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL).
