Kim Jong Un will join Putin and other leaders on China’s military parade

Next week, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit a military parade in Beijing with Russia, Vladimir Putin, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that there will be a landmark visit.

This happens a few days after US President Donald Trump said he wants to meet with Kim, rarely attending foreign visits, and when the White House tries to make a deal to stop the war in Ukraine.

The Victory Day parade in China will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Japan’s official surrender in World War II and at the end of the conflict.

Currently, the event signals a key diplomatic victory for Chinese leader Xi Jinping, which is pushing for a new world order led by Beijing.

Putin and who will be among the 26 other heads of state, who are expected to take part in the parade.

China is likely to demonstrate its latest weapons, including hundreds of aircraft, tanks and anti-dang systems. This will be the first time the new power structure of the military is fully demonstrated at the parade.

Kim’s attendance is upgrading the last Victory Day parade in China in 2015, when Pyongyang sent one of his top officials Choi Rong.

This year, the event where Kim will stand next to Putin and XI will be significant than the photo operation.

An unexpected meeting will take place, even if Donald Trump tries to conclude a deal with Moscow to end the war in Ukraine. This allows you to signal its influence – albeit limited – both on Putin and on whom.

Six years have passed, as Beijing visited – he last attended the event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 2019.

Most Western leaders are not expected to visit the advice from opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has led to Putin’s sanctions.

However, Beijing did not criticize Putin’s war and was accused by the US and its allies who even help her – what he denies. Kim, on the other hand, put a Russian invasion of weapons and troops.

The question currently arises whether the new South Korean President Li Jay Muen will be on the parade, thus giving the first opportunity for the leaders of North and South Korea to meet since the relationship crashed in 2019.

Lee, who was elected in June, repeatedly stated that he would like to talk to Kim Jong -un and establish peace relations from the north. But North Korea has repeatedly criticized Lee, rejecting all her attempts to engage. Just yesterday, his state news agency, KCNA, was indicated by the “confrontational maniac”.

When visiting the parade will be physically close to Kim, it’s risky. If anyone publicly ignores or refuses the South Korean leader, it would be a great embarrassment.

The list of leaders who visit the parade also reflects China’s rise and its changing relationship with the world.
