Kilouea shoots in the bench hundreds of feet in the air during eruption

Hawaiian Kilauea volcano, one of the most active in the world, flared up on December 25, 2024.

The eruption lasted about 8 hours, and the fountains of the northern fan reached more than 1000 feet (305 m), according to the Geological Service of the United States (USGS).

USGS warned that high volcanic gas is a major danger that causes concern due to its far-focus.
