Khloé Kardashian She revealed that she did not tell her family about her melanoma diagnosis at the age of 19 for a very specific reason.
“My first bout of skin cancer, I was 19 years old. When you are 19, you don’t really think how scary things can be, so I don’t remember much. I know my dad (Robert Kardashian) He died when I was 19 of esophageal cancer and then months later I discovered I had skin cancer on my back, ”the Kardashian Seren, 41, says in the episode Wednesday, July 30, of her “Khloé in Wonderland” Podcast on X. “I literally didn’t even tell my family because I knew I had to get rid of this and I’ll be fine.”
Robert died in September 2003, two months after he was diagnosed with cancer in his esophagus. He was 59 years old. In addition to Khloé, Robert shared a son Make and women Kourtney and Kim with ex-wife Kris Jenner. (Robert and Jenner were married between 1978 and 1991.)
Khloé explained her to choose not to share his health news with her family because she did not “want to worry anyone,” especially while they were in a mourning period.
“I knew I was fine. Cancer is a very scary word. I was also 19 and you’re nuts at the age of 19,” he said. “Literally, I drove myself to the doctor, getting rid of all this skin and there we were. (I didn’t think much about it.”
Nearly two decades after her first diagnosis of skin cancer, Khloé had “hit” on her face, which she thought was “cystic acne” at the beginning.

I would ask this person, that person, no one thought it was strange, this was my skin color,” he remembered. “I have a lot of beauty marks for me, but they are brown. So I was like, ‘Gosh, this may be a skin color birthplace.’ I didn’t know what it was. ”
During one Face treatmentA professional suggested a biopsy, which Khloé did.
“So we cut it out and within days they discovered it was a melanoma. I sent it to my other dermatologist, they analyzed it,” he said. “Because it’s on my face … where my pig line is, they have to get rid of the tumor that is there. You also have to take enough skin, like healthy skin, around it to make sure the cells didn’t spread.”
When it came to the time of the treatment, Khloé went to a “family friend” who happened to be a plastic surgeon to treat it.
“He moved the tumor, and the scary part is that you don’t know how much they need to draw until they start breaking into you. They think they get all the boundaries, but then they have to test it,” he reflected. “We did it. Everything was perfect. They got all they needed the first time. So now I don’t have skin cancer.”
