Khloé Kardashian consult a therapist to get advice on how to tackle her division from ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson with their two children.
“True just turned 7 in April, and perhaps, two years ago, true would say something like, ‘your husband’ or whatever,” Kardashian, 41, revealed on the latest episode “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast. “I’m like, ‘Who is my husband?’ She’s like, ‘My Father!’ I didn’t know what her process was because, where she would have the memory of her, she has never seen us kiss before or anything like that.
The Kardashian Star discussed her coparenting partnership with Thompson following their separation in 2021 when True’s confusion arose. Kardashian and Thompson, 34, were together on and off between 2016 and 2021, and while they shared a girl indeed, 7, and Tatum’s son, 2, they never tied the knot. (Kardashian was married to Odom lamar between 2009 and 2016.)
“I didn’t want to say, ‘No, he (my husband), didn’t know what to do,” Kardashian remembered. “I asked my therapist and said, ‘(True is) so young. This is how they link things. If it can be a problem, we’ll talk about it, but right now, she’ll figure it out or ask more questions.'”
Kardashian was surprised that True never brought up the subject yet, so she has not yet had to explain that she and Thompson are not “together.” When asked by a listener if her children never wondered why they don’t live with their father, Kardashian insisted they would never ask. “
“I don’t know if that’s strange or not,” he said. “They think it’s cool, like, ‘Oh my gosh, we have two houses in la’ they are like, ‘wow, my dad has a house and my mother has a house.'”
Another viewer asked about how Kardashian has been able to go to coparenting with Thompson following their a troubled cleft. (The former in 2019 initially divided. Kardashian and the NBA star sync in guaranteeing together in 2020, despite taking their ways apart for the good the following year.)
“For Tristan and I, there’s really no drama in terms of coparenting,” Kardashian insisted on her podcast. “There is a play in other areas of our relationship, friendship, whatever it is called. He and I are Coparents di -dor, I will say that.”

Although Thompson’s lifestyle as an NBA athlete sets challenges for the family, Kardashian said she was determined to keep everyone on the same page.
“I’m not talking to my kids about choparenting. I’m trying to keep adult conversations for adults,” he noted. “If I am Tristan fighting, if we don’t come on, my children don’t know about that.
He went on, “(the children) know that their father is not about eight to nine months out of the year because of the NBA season. They know this is their way of life. ”
Khloé mentioned imitating the friendly relationship her mother is in her mother, Kris Jennerand the late father, Robert Kardashianhave followed their 1991 divorce.
“I am not saying that my mum and dad came on perfectly from the outset,” he said. “I don’t remember it’s that bad. I think my older sisters remember more tension, I don’t. What I remember is my father and my (Parent-parent Jenner’s Caitlyn), years after their divorce, they started … playing golf once a week. My dad would come over to my mother’s dinner once a week for a family lunch, having lunch with all of us. “
Khloé reflected on “how hard” she must have been to see his ex-wife married again and have children with someone else. (Kris and Caitlyn share women Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner.)
“For a great example for us all,” he said. “For a great dad I got, he put his feelings aside just to be around us.

Kardashian honestly acknowledged that she bonded with truth once she gave birth in 2018, while she took several months to contact Tatum after he arrived in 2022.
The birth of True in April 2018 coincided with Thompson was accused of cheating on his then pregnant girlfriend with multiple women. Kardashian and Thompson stayed together initially, though they split again in 2019 in the midst Thompson kissed the Kardashian family friend Jordyn Woods. He Later apologized to the family over various rumors of cheating during chapter 2023 of The kardashianssaying he made “bad decisions” and acted as “idiot f *** ing” because he is “young and stupid.”)
“I think I bonded with trauma with (true). She saved me out of this very dark place,” he said. “There were so many layers… for a mining and true connection.”
When Kardashian and Thompson followed a second child through Surrogacy, he learned he was too Expect a child with a fitness model Maralee Nichols.
“I didn’t know how to process none of this,” admitted Kardashian. “I definitely admit that I buried my head in the sand and also wanted to defend my deputy … I wasn’t with her so much. I didn’t go to the doctor’s appointments because I was followed everywhere.”
As a result of the stress around Tatum’s birth, Kardashian said she did not feel the same “connection” to her son as she was “true. “
“I remember when I got Tatum for the first time, and I embraced it, there was still no feeling that I had to compare with truth,” he admitted. “Because I’m so honest on (The kardashians), I got a lot of heat for this but all I do is say my truth. “
Kardashian ensured listeners to develop a maternal bond with her son in the long run and now feels that he is “the best thing really” that has never happened in her life.
“I can’t imagine my life with him,” he said. “It reminds me of my dad and brother every day. It’s so funny, and in a way that only my father and brother have this humor.”
