Delhi Capitals (DC) mentor Kevin Piersen opened why T Natarajan has not played any game for the team at the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He said that only 12 players can play and that there is currently no place on the team, as everyone works well.
Delhi Capitals is spending a decent time at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The side directed by Axar Patel is currently in the 4th point on the point table with 6 wins from his nine games. With the way of playing, they look like everyone who is classified in the tournament playoffs.
But one of the questions that has been turning in the mind of all the fans of Delhi Capitals is, why not Natarajan has played a single game so far? The left arm pace was acquired by the Franchise by INR 10.75 Crore in the Mega Auction, and it was almost certain that he would play.

But Delhi Capitals has not shown confidence in him, as the franchise has preferred Mukesh Kumar, Mohit Sharma and Dushmantha Chaameera. This is a surprise because Natararajan has been a customer tested in the league and also had a decent impact on the international cricket.
Kevin Piersen was asked about Natarajan and, responding to this, he said that the Pealer does not fit into the team right now. But he became fast to let go of the Pealer that he is doing everything he has asked for. Talking to journalists, he said:
“We can only play 12 players, an impact player. And if you can tell me where it adapts right now you will help us. If you can help us play 13-14, I would help us. Something I can say about Natarajan is that he is doing everything that has been asked to do, like all our players.
“What has been so impressive about our configuration is the good that the boys are not playing and know that their opportunity comes. They know that their opportunity is around the corner.”
Kevin Piersen also emphasized how his players are ready to play at any time in the league. He cited the example of Donovan Ferreira and added that Taparajan is also doing some bit to get there. He made:
“Take a look at Donovan on the other night, raised and faced a couple of balls against GT. I mean it was a momentum of the moment, but it was ready. It was not working, but it was ready and all our players are ready. Anything can happen again.
“Look, I think Phil Salt went down with a viral. We had a few players who went down the night before a game due to a viral illness or a disease. So all our players are ready and Natu is back, he is doing a little to get to arrive.”
