Kenneth Sims Presses Resale: Believes Oscar Duarte

Kenneth Sims (22-3-1, 8 kos) insists that he did enough to deserve the victory in his loss of majority decision of ten rounds in Oscar Duarte (30-2-1, 23 kos) in his heavy weight removal from Wba Light Welterweight last Saturday night at Illinois University of Chicago.

The judges closed it, marking it 115-113, 114-114 and 116-112 for Duarte.

Sims Game Plan Errors

When Sims blew his chance of winning it was to choose to fight with duarte inside, fighting with his back against the ropes for short stretches in many of the rounds. Sims dominated the Oscarscar when he was fighting in the center of the ring, using his fist and the long scope to make shots.

The movement of Sims was impressive. It was like seeing a Copy of Mayweather. However, he moved away from his play plan and chose to trade with Duarte inside. This tactic worked against Sims, as he fought against the Duarte game and achieved the worst. He did not keep his own when he fought with his back against the ropes against the Mexican.

Sims, 31, says he wants an immediate resale because he felt that he had done more than enough to receive victory. It is unlikely that Duarte promoters in Golden Boy Promotions will host the Sims application, as he was a world title eliminator to get a shot at the 140 -pound champion of WBA, Gary Antuanne Russell. It would be surprising that Golden Boy agrees to allow Sims to fight again in Duarte because it is not for them to do it. Sims would probably make the adjustments needed to defeat Duarte in a second fight and lose its worldwide probability.

“They were not really adjustments. This was the Play Plan for Box,” Sims said. “So, I was brewing. I was a bit the ground because I knew I had to be or he would come more. So I was in my field when I needed. I thought I won the fight.”

Duarte is not a huge punch, but he overwhelms his opponents with the pressure and body. Struck enough to push his opposition to submission. You could know of the poorly swollen face of Sims after the struggle that Duarte’s power was still formidable.
