Kelly Osbourne did dad Ozzy OsbourneSide throughout his struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
Black Sabbath forward revealed during the appearance of 2020 onwards Good morning America that he was diagnosed with the illness the previous year. Kelly was beside her father for the sitting down and opened for Ozzy’s state.

“With more sadness than words can only convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne died this morning,” the Osbourne family shared in a metro statement at the time. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect the privacy of our family at this time.”

After Ozzy publicly shared the diagnosis of his Parkinson, Kelly explained how their family came together.
“It’s kind of becoming a bit reversing a role for us, in my opinion, where we have to be, like, ‘snap out of it. Come on. We all have to admit what’s going on here so we can get over this,’ he said to Gma in January 2020. “And it took a little time for everyone to be on the same page.”

“Everyone acts like it’s dooms day but it isn’t. Life is happening and everyone deals with a different set of cards and depends on how you play it,” he said in an interview in February 2020 with The mirror. “We take every day as it comes and it makes it amazing. We couldn’t have (come) much closer, but we did. Everyone acts like it’s a dooms day, it’s not. It’s something we have to deal with.”

You can plan and plan and plan and plan, but you don’t know until you’re actually in the timetable where you’re supposed to do something,” Kelly explains. “We didn’t even know if we wanted to get Ohio for a rock and role immortal gallery, and it was medically cleared for the flight day of the flight, so we didn’t all know if we were going until a day.”
Despite the uncertainty of the situation at times, Kelly shared that they could do it, and Ozzy got the “best time.”
As Ozzy’s battle continued, Kelly admitted that she prioritized quality time with her father.
“My father is not the way he used to be, since the Parkinson and GP surgeries and everything that happened,” he said in a June 2025 interview with Hello! “So I consecrate my life to spend as much time as I can. It is also, like, my best friend.”
Two days after news of her father’s death, Kelly broke her silence on the loss through her Instagram story.
“I feel unhappy that I’m so sad,” Kelly, 40, wrote by post. “I lost the best friend I ever had.”
