Kelly Clarkson moved to tears on stage in one of her last performances Before death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
In emotional video From the July 26 show of her residency in Las Vegas, Clarkson, 43, dried up her eyes in presenting her song “Piece by Piece.”
“This next song, I’ve never rewritten a song more,” he told the audience. “And I probably never. I wrote this song with a lot of hope, right? And projected for happiness and (something) better than what was happening. And then, well, life settled and I had to change the words.”
Clarkson remembered making the adaptation for a previous two -year show and thought, “You know what? That sounded a bit angry.”

As she continued to talk about the song, Clarkson was overcome with emotion. “I’m really trying to pull her together,” she told the crowd, who shouted and chanted her name as she stepped away from the mic to dry tears again.
