Olympiad Kei Nishikori broken his silence after being Charged with infidelity.
“I apologize greatly for causing discomfort to everyone who supports me: tennis supporters, societies, sponsors and other related parties, and for their anxiety and inconvenience because of my dishonest behavior,” said Nishikori, 35, in a translated statement shared with a Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun On Wednesday, June 18. “In addition, I’m sorry to make my wife and children feel hurt.”
The tennis star has been married to May yamaguchi Since 2020. The pair share two children.

Nishikori, who has not addressed further the accusationsoften kept his personal life under laps. He made a rare social media statement in December 2022, confirming that he and Yamaguchi had tied the knot.
“Hello. I have something to announce to everyone. On December 24th, my wife and I held our ceremony and wedding reception,” wrote in Japanese through InstagramShare photos of the celebration. “We were able to run the ceremony because of the pandemic Covid-19, but we had so many people celebrating with us, and the celebration had touched Mai and I.”
He added, “This marks a fresh start to us. We will do our best to return to the highest stage of the world.”
Nishikori has been playing tennis professionally since 2007 and is currently number 66 among his fellow Pro -Temperance. He last competed in an early round of the French Open in May. Eventually he had to withdraw Lower back pain. Nishikori was due to make his prestigious return to court in Wimbledon in July before withdrawing earlier this week because of his injury.
Previously, he praised the support of his supporters after competing in the Australian Open Championship earlier this year.
