Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom: A Timeline of Their Relationship

During an appearance on “Call Her Daddy,” Perry told the host Alex Cooper why did she and Bloom split up in 2017.

“We weren’t really into it from day one,” the singer admitted. “It was, in a way, because he had just completed a period of celibacy and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pool.’”

Although Perry had “yet to do some real work” on herself, Bloom went on a weeklong retreat “to rewire all (her) bad habits.” When he returned, the duo were not on the same page.

“He went there, and then he came back and he wasn’t playing this cat-and-mouse game with me anymore,” Perry recalled. “And I was like, ‘Hm.’ I was so used to this push. … I was playing games because it was a dopamine hit. That’s what I knew.”

Perry later decided to go to the retreat herself, and found that she then “speaks the same language” as Bloom.

“It changed my life, it saved my life,” she said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Perry shared that nothing gets her going quite like Bloom doing household chores.

“If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done all the dishes and closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to suck your d–k, ” she quipped. “That’s it the language of my love! I don’t need a red Ferrari … I can buy a red Ferrari. Do the f-king dishes! I will suck your dk! It’s that easy!”
