Kate Martin of Wnba compares the style of Las Vegas Aces and Valkyries

Kate Martin A WNBA fan favorite for more reasons than one-including its continuously evolving fashion sense.

“I would definitely say as before entering the league, I definitely thought you had to dress up every time like it was a lot of weight, and that had exerted me out more than the real ball games,” Martin, 25, was told only Weekly US Earlier this month.

In December 2024, Martin was raised by the Golden State Valkyries as part of the WNBA expansion draft. (The newest team in the league filled his opening roster by drafting unprotected players from the rest of the WNBA, as well as signing several athlete from foreign teams.)

While some players who really lean into the experience of dressing up before games – including her former Aces team A’ja Wilson and the fellow of current Valkyries team Tiffany hayes – Martin was delighted to find that not everyone puts a ton of emphasis on their game day fits.

In San Francisco, for example, some of Martin’s fellow players are “kind of just doing whatever” they want in terms of Pregame tunnel costumes. “I think that’s cool,” said Martin Us.

Although the ACES may have rocked striking fits during her time on the team, Martin highlighted Hayes as someone who has inspired her own sense of creativity and fun in clothing. Hayes softly launched her clothing line, Seyah Renara, in 2024.

Her fellow team has “my styled a couple of times” with pieces of the line, Martin shared, adding that she thinks “it is very cool that she had pursued this side of fashion.

“Like, it’s not just a ball player, but you know, an entrepreneur, and he has a very cool style,” he continued. “I also think (Washington Mystics Player) Alysha Clark’s Costumes, especially this year, have been amazing. “

Martin’s own evolutionary sense will continue to have an impact before WNBA games – and now fans can get into the fun by imitating her outfits for themselves. He continued, “And the atmosphere in Ballhalla is honest as unrivaled. It’s been very fun to be able to play in front of such a high crowd or such a supportive crowd.
