Karun Nair back to India playing XI after 3006 days
The BCCI Selection Committee had left Nair from the test after the 2017 border-Gavaskar trophy against the Australian Cricket National Team at home.

Speaking before his debut, Karun Nair had said he maintains very simple things and is still positive.
“ I try to keep it very simple, always thinking about the positive, having certain goals in mind, visualizing things and having a real belief in which you visualize. Play with Rahul and Prasidh is also a very comforting factor. We have played Cricket for so many years, since we were probably young children and we grew up together, ” said Karun in BCCI on a video published on his website.
“Life has come to a complete circle because I left the team in England and now I return to the team of England. It’s been a while and embrace it. My first thought when I woke up (after leaving -falling) was that I want to play a test cricket, I want to play again in India.
“This is probably what kept me, kept me hungry and was the engine to train and practice every day. I had a goal to play a test cricket again. Every day, every morning I used to wake up -what to do to achieve this goal,” he added.
