“I had a very, very emotional morning, mostly just when I was taking a shower. I pray that my children will never struggle with their body images enough to mutilate their bodies to be thin,” said the Teenage Mum 2 A former student, 32, said in Be Ready With Me Instagram reel uploaded on Monday, January 6. “I think a little spree in terms of a nose job or a boob job is fine but going through this to be skinny is (a) mental illness, to be honest. And I say that with the utmost respect for anyone going through it.”
Last month, Lowry revealed that she had suffered breast reduction surgery. In Monday’s clip, she explained that her video marked the first time she was able to do her makeup since the procedure. She also shared that she was “finally” able to use the shower after the surgery without any assistance. While Lowry has admitted that she feels “good” physically, most of the time she “struggles” mentally as a result of her procedure.
“I’m struggling this time. I don’t know if it’s because I have a daughter now … not only my daughter, my sons too, I don’t want them to experience this level of body dysmorphia,” she said. “Like, I was basically willing to go to any length and do this over the Christmas holidays to be thin – even if it meant (fiancé) Elias (Scott) couldn’t be there for me. Even if that meant I was in a different state for Christmas. I was willing to go to any lengths for it.”
Lowry admitted she was tempted to have breast reduction surgery when she went in for her breast reduction surgery additional procedures while under general anesthesia.
“I was going for a breast reduction and then I was like, ‘Oh, I should add some lipo 360, add some belly in … my scars were fine,'” she recalled. “My old tummy tuck scar and c-section scar were fine. I realized I shouldn’t have put Elias through all this ’cause he couldn’t be there for me all the time.”
Despite being on the mend, Lowry admitted she was having a “rough” time mentally but wanted to put on a brave face.
“I’m going to stop crying and I’m going to suck it up for the rest of the day,” she said before giving her followers a warning. “Think once, think twice before you get cosmetic surgery and I hope everyone has a good new year.”
Many of Lowry’s fans flocked to the comments section to give her some much needed words of encouragement.
“You’ve always looked great! At any size you are a gorgeous woman 😍,” one user replied while another wrote, “You literally gave birth to 7 beautiful little humans, your body is amazing. I’m sorry you feeling pressured to fix it. I hope you can learn to love your body, I know your kids did 🤍.”
Lowry is a mother of seven. She shares her son Issac, who she welcomed in 2010 with him Joe Riverason Lincoln, who welcomed in 2013 with him Javi Marroquinsons Lux and Creed, whom she welcomed in 2017 and 2020, respectively, with Chris Lopez.
