Juventus hit late to win the fifth consecutive match

Juventus found late goals from Khephren Thuram and Teun Koopmeiners to seal a victory at home 2-0 against Hellas Verona in series A, a fifth consecutive victory for Thiago Motta.

Juventus had 27 shots in a dominant show, but struggled to find a way to visit goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo, who produced a series of savings to deny giants.

But Thuram found a path ahead of the heroic porter of Verona in the 72nd minute, scoring with a crunchy shot from the penalty spot and the substitute Koopmeiners doubled the lead with a low shot from a 90 minute -adjusted angle.

Juventus is in the fourth place in the standings in 52 points, six interior leaders in Milan and two above Lazio in fifth. Verona is the 14th, four points above the descent area.

Meanwhile, in Spain, the Monday night league match between Villarreal and Espanyol was called due to heavy rain.

The decision was made only a few moments before the launch at the Villarreal ceramics stadium with thousands of spectators already on the ground.
