Julie Chrisley is responding to the offer of planning to Jodi Fournerat

Julie ChrisleyPrison stay did not stop her from sharing thoughts about a son Chase Chrisley offering his girlfriend, Jodi Laine Fournerat.

“The fact that I’m in prison does not mean my job as a mother stopped,” said Julie, 52, in a phone call included in the fourth chapter of The Chrisleys: Back to reality.

Julie detailed a “very hard” conversation he had with a 29 -year -old son Chase when he visited her. (Julie and her husband Todd Chrisley were jailed for 28 months before released from prison in May Following a pardon by President Donald Trump.)

“When he told me he wanted to marry Jodi, I didn’t love it,” he admitted. “I don’t know her. So I can’t be on board with my son marrying someone I don’t even know.”

Chase took his relationship with Jodi Public in November 2023, and the pair has been going strong ever since. Jodi briefly appeared alongside Chase on his family’s age docuseries, who performed for the first time on Monday, September 1. (Chase was previously engaged Emmy meddersbut they Split in July 2023.)

“I went to visit my mum to break the news for her that I was going to be offering Jodi,” Chase told viewers in his confession. “My mum doesn’t want me to rush anything. She wants me to take my time, but it’s been over two years. So, I don’t feel like I rush anything.”

Chase also understood Julie’s perspective because she is not “here to be part of” his life.

“I think a lot of it comes from that, my mum doesn’t want to lose out on it,” he added. “But there’s nothing we can do about at the moment.”

During a scene filmed at lunchtime with Julie’s parents, Why and Harvey HughesChase offered more insight into what went down with his mother.

“She and I had an intense conversation. I don’t think it’s an argument,” said Chase, turning to Jodi. “She doesn’t know you. She hasn’t had the opportunity to know you because she is sitting in prison.”

Chase explained that he told his mother: “At the end of the day, this is the person I have chosen to be my wife and eventually my children’s mother.”

Chase said he wanted Julie to have a “good relationship” with Jodi.

“It was like, ‘When I get out of here, I’m looking forward to meeting her and it’s not like I’m not going to give her a chance,’” Chase remembered Jodi. “We’ve been together for two years. At the end of the day, I’m not going to let anyone – not my family, not a stranger on the street – make you uncomfortable or disrespect you.”

Jodi felt like she didn’t have a “fair shot” with the family because of their legal position.

“My parents have never shot anyone, from any girl I’ve ever out of date,” added Chase. “It took me as long as he did to pull him together and I’m ashamed of that, but there’s nothing I can do for now except trying to be the best version of myself every day and keep growing like a man.”
