What are you directing in London at the moment?
It’s a movie called Former school. It’s a film about these two dads with pre-school-aged children who fight to go in the last place in this for the highest primary primary school, and they damage and undermine each other no end. And it’s very funny. We get so much blast. We had a scene today (with) this group called The Wild and Crazies. It’s a children’s group that is all rabies, and so we shot this little inappropriate children’s band, and it went off the rails. I can’t wait. It’s (through) Paramount. How would you describe Gatlan Health?
It is a health, well -being, longevity company. We do all the things that Hammond (do), but also TRT replacement. We will do GLP-1. Basically, we will do all the other things they do too. … There’s so much ashamed, so I realized maybe I could take off the stigma, shed light on it, and that’s what we really do, you know, to improve the lives of men everywhere.
Why do you think people don’t want to talk about these issues?
I think hormone therapy is generally accepted more and less something to be ashamed of. It actually improves the lives of men and women. So, that was kind of my reasoning behind him, he was like, “There is an opportunity here to remove the stigma, and make it something that is accepted and wider speaking.”

Why should fans be excited about your new show ‘Ransom Canyon’?
I saw the first episode last night, and I was very happy with it. It is beautifully shot. It is very well directed. I think the story is going to be something that people really engage with, and I’m having a chance to ride a horde and run a ranch, something I’ve never done on the screen. But, you know, I live a similar life out in Minnesota (in) cabin. I don’t have cattle or horses or anything, but I drive a tractor most of the time.
As far as this character, I was really about him (in) many ways because he all related to his land, his legacy, caring for a family, keeping what his family built over the years. Actually all the things I linked (to). I know it’s based on this beloved series as well.
What do you watch on Netflix?
Honestly not much, mostly sports. I haven’t had much time. I have usually been persecuting around that 1 year old. I haven’t seen much TV. (I) in the middle of prepping this film (AC) Now we are in the middle of his shooting. That’s all I’m doing right now.
Have you been watching children’s shows like ‘Bluey’ with Shepherd?
He is not there yet. He is interested. He started walking about nine months earlier than we expected to do, so we had done an accident course in home safety just to ensure that the place was driven by children. That was one of the things we actually had to focus on.
Which of your movies did you enjoy working at most?
Everyone was so different. I had so much fun on the beaches of North Carolina (while filming) A safe haven. I got a blast in the dominic shooting Marriage. We were in Canada shooting BanditAnd that was one of the hardest shoots, also one of the most beneficial. So, they all have their own advantages, disadvantages, hardships and victories and all those things you go through on a set. … Each job feels like a different, new adventure. It’s like you meet a new group of people in the world. You’re all there to do the same. You set up it, you do it, and then everyone goes away, and then you’re going to do it again elsewhere. And they are always different depending on a location or story or cast, or a million different variables that can make it amazing or make it very difficult.

Is that why you’re in Minnesota when you’re not filming and directing?
Yes. I see that we spent more and more time back in North Dakota, in the cabin. I love Los Angeles, but I also loved being out in the woods, away. The older I get, the more I enjoy that. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a simpler way of life. … When we first started building this place, (there was no) running water, no electricity in one of the cabins. We were washing our dishes in the lake. Over time, we made a kind of shaping and doing it in what we wanted it to be. And now, it has become a happy place for us. (It is) the place we would rather be more than (anywhere).
Part of the reason is because I have been able to build it, mine, but also because I am always busy in Los Angeles. … Simplicity (it) is what makes me so fond of it, because I’m never bored. I’m up and working all day, right through, going back to my childhood, in some ways, seeing it through my children ‘(eyes). But that, for me, has become a place I run away for it whenever I get into things.
What other projects have you lined?
There is a film called London calls I did with Tanning (Ungrateful). I had another of the name Off the gridanother of the name The negligent. There are a bunch of things happening. … Honestly, I need to take some time off.
Do you take a gatlan every day?
(It) one of those things you do once a week depends on what you do and what the doctor describes. So, for me, it’s once a week.
We have amazing doctors. Dr. Lufkin is truly one of the leading longevity doctors in the world. (Written) several books on it, speaks all over the place about it and has taught me tons about these things. And I’m interested in it, because, as I said, I want to be able to stay as useful as I can as long as I can, not only for work and everything else, but mainly to the children and my wife. I think many boys feel that way. I want to be the guy who makes it right.
