According to, a battle between the temporary heavyweight champion of Wbo and WBA interim champion, Fabio Wardley, ends on October 25 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Parker’s promoter David Higgins considers Wardley a good welcome struggle to keep him active while waiting for his worldwide struggle.
It is not the struggle that the 13-year-old Pro parker (36-3, 24 kos) had expected, as he has been waiting for a title shot against the undisputed heavy weight champion, Oleksandr Usyk.
Faced with the inexperienced and not proven Wardley 19-0-1, 18 kos) is, without a doubt, a 33-year-old Movement for Parker, of the last three fights he has had against Martin Bakole, Zhilei Zhang and Delontay Wilder.
The Perks of Parker
Despite not having the same credentials as a professional, the eight-year-old Pro Wardley will take advantage of the country of origin over the old heavy weight champion of Wbo Parker (36-3, 24 kos). It is questionable if this will benefit the Slugger Wardley, as Parker has shown in the past that he can win in the United Kingdom, surpassing Dereck Chisora twice and Jack Massey.
Parker lost to British fighters, including Joe Joyce, Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua, in the United Kingdom. The defeats of Joshua and Whyte were seven years ago in 2018, and Parker has shown an improvement in his game since.
“Usyk’s injury is a convenient excuse. Parker deserves its shot, but this struggle keeps it active at least,” said Parker’s promoter David Higgins in Boxingscene.
X fans are sometimes choosing Parker to defeat Wardley, believing that he is too experienced for him for his experience. Wardley looks like a basic slug that can be overcome, as Justis Huni showed before being eliminated in the tenth round earlier this year on June 7, 2025. If Fabio cannot eliminate Parker, he could have a difficult time to win a decision due to his boxing, experience and endurance skills.
