Jojo will give Us an internal look at what is it like to be on Too much to say a trip.
“My heaven before the show starts in the morning, where it’s coffee, then it’s probably an exercise class,” the singer, 34, reveals only in the latest issue of Weekly US. “I want to sweat, I want to pick up my heartbeat. Then I’ll get to the location, I’ll sound a check. “
Jojo started off her Too much to say a trip on Feb 22 in Nashville. She will stop at Houston, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago and Atlanta before wrapping up in New York City. The tour coincides with its latest EP Valley who declined last month.
“This is my first independent statement and this album was about being single and moving to a new city and feeling strong and feeling more comfortable and confident in my own skin than I had ever had before. So that’s what it is for, ”she said for her new music. “And just have fun, don’t take things as seriously as I’ve taken them before. It is not life or death. There are serious things happening in the world and music does not need to be one of them at the moment. “
In addition to new music, Jojo announced a biography title Over the influence and it hit shelves in September 2024.
Keep scrolling to learn some of Jojo’s secrets behind the scenes while on the road:
While Jojo will start her show days with coffee and exercise in the morning, she has a specific routine after she arrives at the venue.
“I start to make my beyond and make my belly and stuff. And I like to take my time. I don’t like to be rushed, ”he told us. “I rushed so much when I was younger and I learned that I hate that feeling, so I’m really relaxed.”
As Jojo relaxes, she listens to some music from some “great singers” as Jasmine Sullivan. ERIVO. Whitney Houston. Anita Baker and Chaka Khan.
“Just be inspired by their vocal excellence and that gets me in the zone,” she said of the talent on her playlist.
Before Jojo takes the stage, she also likes to make “the warmth of a voice” she learned from one of her teachers she has “worked with over the past few years.”

“My journey cyclist is fruit. Pine -afal is my favorite one, ”he told Us. “The enzymes in it are very good if you have mucus, but I tend not to struggle with that anymore because I follow an anti -inflammatory diet while I’m on a journey because mucus is the enemy of a singer.”
As well as a -afal pin, Jojo also chooses berries, coffee, local honey and Evian water. However, the “too little too late” singer is “trying to move away from plastics and making refurbishable water bottles” instead.
Along with her snacks, Jojo also needs a “delicious smell candle”.
“It depends on what kind of vibe I’m in. I typically travel with my own candle and then I will bring it, ”he said. “So that can be the cohesive thing from city to city.”
“It’s changing, but right now I really love performing a song called ‘Cancel.’”
“I put a strip teasing on one of my travels and I look back at him and I want to die a little,” she remembers. “But I also have to accept that that was exactly what I wanted to do then.”
Jojo shared that he would “bring someone up on stage” at every show and mount them.
“It was not a sexual excitement for sure. So I think that’s even better to think, ”he said.” We would choose a different person in the audience every night, and I’m just like, ‘Why did I do that? He was not sexy. ‘”
“I think I’ve blocked the really strange things that people have asked me to sign because I’ve been doing this for a long time,” she admits. “When strange things happen, it’s like I don’t know where they are going because I can’t remember them. But I have certainly signed a titty in my day. I’ve signed faces … I’m listening and I don’t judge. “
“I get nervous all the time before I go on stage. And really, I recently had a couple sessions with a sports psychologist who helps athletes get in the zone and be able to perform under pressure, ”he explained. “I met him through a friend of mine who stars in a Broadway show right now, and they give the most crashing performance of the earth every night.”
Jojo shares her to ask her friend how they could reach that “point” which led to her contact with the therapist.
“I think what I’m trying to do is get out of my own way, stop thinking about myself and think about how I can be of service to what an audience member, a fan, a community member could need from me,” he told Us. “What do I need to incorporate in this song? How can I be a vessel for what the moment is calling for? And that sounds horned, but I’m a spiritual person and that’s what makes me feel better. “
“I picked up tattoos along my travels and travels,” he said. “I have this beautiful New Zealand Maori tattoo that was talented to me by an artist there, and he released and told the story of everyone who has been involved in my life and even those people who are no longer here in the physical world and how it all contributed to who I am today. And so that’s something I definitely take with me everywhere. “
“I love these adaptogenic drinks that do not have alcohol in, but will be like a different, cool kind of things,” she reveals. “I want to feel they are chilled out.”
As well as having a good drink, Jojo will match him with a meal before bed.
