John Waters opens for his bandoms.
The Spray Director, 79, shared his pop culture favorites with Weekly US alone, revealing that David Lynch He has a permanent place on his playlist. The two filmmakers, known for their critical acclaim, were friends for decades before Lynch died in January at the age of 78.
“I’m always listening to David Lynch’s music, I love. Since he died I’ve been playing it all,” Waters divided the Guild of Costume Designer Awards in Los Angeles in February. “I like his last album, Cellophane memorieswith Crustacle. His music is so radical. “
A pioneer of a surreal cinema, Lynch died after attending a cardiac arrest on January 16 shortly after moving from his home in Los Angeles due to the wildfires of southern California. The Director was a talented musician, releasing two studio albums, five co -operatives and six soundtracks during his career. Waters told us that Lynch’s music is “just as good as his films.”

“Love lies bleeding is my favorite lesbian steroid film,” Waters said of the film. “I have never seen a film about lesbian steroid rabies being made so intellectual, entertaining.”
As far as other waters’ favorites? The movie maker can’t get enough of Sirius XM radio show Outlaw countryBut it’s not big on TV.
“TV shows are difficult because I don’t know how to turn my TV. It’s so difficult that I have to have three assistants (help) and I’m starting to cry,” Waters joking. “So I read at night.”
