The star of England, Joe Root, has performed exceptional performances for the National Cricket team in the test format for the last four years. The ex -England Filator, Monty Panesar, shared his thoughts on the root that surpassed Sachin’s legendary record tender for most rules in the test cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar scored 15,921 runs in 200 games with an average of 53.78, including 51 centuries and 68 half a century. Meanwhile, Joe Root is fifth in the test list list of all time. Root has accumulated 13,006 runs in 153 games to an average of 50.80, with the help of 36 centuries and 65 half a century.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Monty Panesar said that the next series against India and Australia will be key to deciding whether Joe Root can break the record of Sachin Tendulkar.

“I think if in these ten test games against India and Australia, it does well, I think it has all the possibilities. So, I think the next 10 test matches will define if the root can break -or not“Panesar told Hindustan Times.
Joe Root needs 2,916 runs to overcome the Record of Tendulkar for Tests More Testing. Ricky Ponting (13,378), Jacques Kallis (13,289) and Rahul Dravid (13,288) are between Tendulkar and Root on the list of main scorers in the test cricket. All these legends, however, have retired from the game.
I don’t think it has been so successful: Monty Pansar in “Bazball”
Monty Panesar believes that the aggressive approach of the “Bazball” has been successful in England, but not in a position from outside. He mentioned that English launches are ready to support this style.
“ In England, it has been a success. And I think outside of England, I don’t think he has been so successful. So, I hope, I think they will produce launches so that they adapt to their support and their Cricket style in England.But out of England, I have not seen that they are successful in Australia or India. So maybe, maybe, maybe “ bazball ” is only successful in English conditions in English.“, Added Panesar.
England headed to India in five -party test series
England showed his aggressive “bazball” approach in a unique test to Truent Bridge against Zimbabwe. Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley’s openers joined a 231 -run booth: the highest opening collaboration in England since 1960.
Duckett left 100 out of 100 balls, reaching the fifth century of test, while Crawley ended with a drought of 28 infinite with his first hundred since July 2023. Ollie Pope continued his dominion to Bridge Trent, scoring 171 of 166 balls, his second century in the room. England declared his first entrances to a 569 commander.
Joe Root was fired for 34 by Blessing Muzarabani. Zimbabwe launched by 265 and 255 in his two entries, gaining a complete victory in England. Shoaib Bashir impressed with a new Wicket route at both tickets and was named a game player.
The team led by Ben Stokes will play in the India Testing series, captured by Shubman Gill. According to the calendar, the first test will be held in Headingley in Leeds, from June 20.
