Of finding love with each other after their first marriages to becoming the first couple of US, the former President Joe biden and Dr. Jill Biden has built a strong marriage that has lasted more than four decades.
Joe and Jill met in 1975 after The politician’s first wife. Neilia Hunter Bidenand Naomi’s infant daughter “Amy” died tragically in a car collision in 1972. The educator had, for her part, completed his divorce Bill Stevenson Shortly before being submitted to Joe.
As her relationship progressed, he quickly became serious as she began to help Joe take care of his sonsBeau and Hunter. The former Senator now offered his wife five times before she agreed to marry him.
“(After every proposal), I said, ‘Not yet. Not yet.’ Because by then, of course, I had fallen in love with the boys, and I really felt that this marriage had to work, ”he told Vogue in November 2016.“ Because they lost their mother, and we can’t get them to lose another mother.
He married the couple at the United Nations Chapel in 1997. Although Jill has been there for Joe as he continues to grow in his political career, the 46th President of the US has also been supported along the way. She stood by her side as she was pursuing her various degrees, and gave Jill her doctoral degree in 2007 when she graduated from Delaware University.
