Jodie Turner-Smith claim that her husband is estranged, Joshua Jacksonowes her child support and spousal support in the midst of their divorce.
Turner-Smith, 38, alleged in new court documents obtained by Us Weekly On Monday, December 23, Jackson, 46, has not paid her any child support since the news broke in October 2023 that they had separated. She is asking him to pay her $8,543 per month retroactive to the date of her initial filing. (TMZ was the first to report the news.)
The Bad Monkey The actress also asked Jackson to pay her $28,641 a month in spousal support while their divorce is still pending. (She initially asked the court to take spousal support off the table but has apparently changed her mind.)
She asks the court to order the Dawson’s Creek alum to pay her $250,000 to cover her attorney fees and other costs as they continue to hash out their legal split.
Turner-Smith claimed that Jackson “he promised to always support me” and he “assured” her that she “wouldn’t have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever split up because he said he understands how difficult life as a Black woman and a single mother can be.”
She argued in the documents that Jackson made more money than her during their four-year marriage and accused him of racking up attorney fees by dragging out their divorce.
Turner-Smith claimed that the Doctor Odyssey star “degrades” on his “promise” to protect her and protect them financially A 4 year old girl. (The former couple welcomed their child in April 2020.)

Despite a setback in their lawsuit, Turner-Smith has been positive about her co-parenting experience with Jackson over the past year.
“It’s an adjustment period for anyone when they break up with someone, because you’re used to being with your child all the time,” he told sight360. He added: “It’s important – center the children and that’s all you can do. Nobody gets everything right but at least when you know you’re focusing on the right thing, you know you’re going to do your best.”
Jackson — who dated Lupita Nyong’o from fall 2023 to October this year – has remained silent about his ongoing divorce with Turner-Smith. In September, he shared a rare glimpse into his life as a daddy’s girl.

Jackson noted that his daughter influences every aspect of his life. “I have a 4-year-old child. She is at school. I need to work here, and I want to be able to be, like, a father,” he explained. “That’s honestly my main priority.”
Being close to home is what attracted the actor to his latest role Doctor Odyssey. “I really wanted to do something where it was lighter, where I didn’t have to go home like a headache every night, brooding and heavy,” he added.
