“Yup we’re a real couple… This (is) how we like our temperatures,” Chapple, 60, wrote via his Instagram Story on Saturday, January 4.
Alongside the text, Chapple uploaded an image of the temperatures inside a car. On one side, the temperature was set to 63 degrees, while on the other side – which Chapple noted in Vassos – the temperature was a balmy 84 degrees.
Vassos, 61, responded to Chapple’s snap by reposting the image to her own Instagram Stories on Saturday and wrote, “Maybe I should steal some of his socks to keep my feet warm in the car…” (In (earlier that day, Vassos uploaded an image of numerous pairs of socks joking that Chapple had 364 games.)
While the pair dictated each other’s living habits, Vassos and Chapple said only Us Weekly that they share their time in their respective hometowns, Maryland and Kansas — and also go apartment hunting in New York City.
“This first year, obviously, we have to figure out life. Chock has a business in Kansas. I have children and grandchildren and Maryland. I’m not leaving Maryland, but he has obligations in Kansas,” Joan said Us in November 2024. “We know we’re going to spend time in Maryland and in Kansas, but then we have this really fun plan because we’ve both always dreamed – and we finally at this strange stage in life for doing this. a dream come true — that we live in a big city, and, specifically, we’ve always wanted to live in New York. So Chock surprised me and said, ‘I want us to go look for a place.'”
Vassos, who engaged to Chapple during finale The Golden Bachelorette season 1 , by Us that she “never in a million years” thought she would feel “love like this again.” (She was married before John Vassoswho died in 2019 of cancer.)
“Living life in your golden years is special. You are no longer responsible for raising a family or running a business. You get to really enjoy life. Travel is important to us. One day buying a home together,” she shared in a Us cover story. “After John died, I felt like my future was this black hole. And now it looks so bright. The possibilities are endless for us. Which is a strange thing to say at this age, but I feel that way.”
