Jimmy Carter’s legacy…in his own words


Former US President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter has died at the age of 100.

Honored for their philanthropy at the self-titled Carter Center, every living president has now made a statement about their careers.

In a series of BBC Lifetime interviews, Carter reflected on how he envisioned his legacy, telling the BBC’s Andrew Marr in 2011 that it was defined by a “commitment to peace”.
