Jessie J cancels US tour dates for breast cancer surgery

Jessie J. Canceled her tour dates in the United States and postponed several shows in the UK and Europe for breast cancer surgery.

“So, as some of you know, I had breast cancer surgery eight weeks ago. Some of you may not be, so that’s one thing,” said the singer, 37, in a video shared by Instagram On Thursday, August 28. “The second thing is, unfortunately, I have to have a second surgery, nothing too serious, but it has to be done before the end of the year, and unfortunately, that falls right in the middle of a journey I had ordered.”

Jessie continued (real name: Jessica Ellen Cornish), “So I live in the moment. I embrace the moment, and I’m flowing with the vibrations. So that’s what it’s, and I’m sorry. I feel frustrated and sad, but also that’s what it is, and I need to be better. I need to make the journey, and decide this.

Jessie revealed that several stops on tour in the UK and Europe, including London, Amsterdam and more, were rescheduled from this fall until April 2026.

“Here comes the bad news,” he added. “I haven’t been able to delegate US dates yet, so unfortunately, that will be canceled. And obviously I had things that were ordered (for) next year. There are other trips. There are other things.

Jessie told viewers that she would still be allowed to travel in the US, but may be “later” in 2026.

“You know how much I want to do it all, but I can’t, and I have to be realistic,” he continued.

Jessie was also teasing that she had “so much new music” coming in the meantime.

“But as I said, I’m trying to be in the moment. I’m trying to do my best. I’m trying to contribute all the different things that (have been) happened in my life and where I have to put the energy, but I have to heal. So forgive me. I’m sorry this is sucking, but I know you probably know this is coming,” he said.

Jessie concluded, “I love you all so much, and I’m so grateful (you’re) on this journey with me. I’m going to go before I cry out.”

Jessie announced her breast cancer diagnosis via Instagram in June. She said to fans she had received the news before releasing her song “No Secrets” on April 25.

“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. I highlight the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I hold the word early,” he told fans in a video. “I’ve been in and out of tests throughout this time. I wanted to be open and shared. One, because, selfishly, I’m not talking enough about it. I don’t process it because I work so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I’m an open book.”

Jessie got a mastectomy to treat the disease, as well as surgery breast rebuilding.

“This post is some of the honest lows and highlights of the last 48 hours,” headed a Post-op in June. “I will always show good and hard pieces any journey I go through.”
