Jessica Biel remembers the almost awkward kiss with a brother on screen Barry Watson During the 7th heaven Pilot – but she thinks the original script has gone even further than what reached the final edit.
“I think we were shot. I think, at the time, everyone (thinks), ‘This doesn’t really work!’” Biel, 43, admitted during Sunday’s episode, March 30, the “Catch up with the Camdens” podcast. “Everyone seemed to think this wasn’t the best move for these siblings on this show.”

The 1996 episode, “Anything You Want,” contains an uncomfortable moment where Mary Camden (Biel) asks her older brother Matt (Watson) to teach her how to kiss a boy. “We’ve been talking about it,” Mitchell, 44, admitted to Biel in their podcast reunion. “We thought (there was a kiss) but we know she never did. We can’t remember if you really had to shoot it?”
The actress quoted, “honestly, I don’t know if that was real or not,” before admitting that his “14 -year -old self” was probably excited by the opportunity to shoot a kissing scene with her older Costar. Mitchell later noted that Biel had “a few cosmetics scenes” with guest stars throughout the 7th of the first season of Heaven.
“That is, someone had to do it,” Biel teased.
This is not the first time the cast has tackled the awkward brother or sister moment since becoming viral on -lein. In March 2024, Watson told fans 7th heaven during Con ’90s Panel in Hartford, Connecticut that executive producer Aaron’s spell Has come up with Mary and Matt’s kissing scene.

“I popped the clutch in Subaru my parents when I got a license my learner, not my real license. And I flew back and reversed to Mackenzie school trailer and bushed it off his support. The computer broke,” he remembered.
“The computer was crushed, my parents’ car was crushed and I almost hit my brother (Justin Biel),” admitted Biel.
