In a subsequent Instagram story slide, Lopez thanked Jason Diamond – Surface plastic surgeon at Beverly Hills – for “stitch me up,” adding, “a week later and a whole Lotta ice, I’m good as new.”
Lopez was announced as the Amas 2025 host in April, marking her second time in steering the award show after making his first appearance in the role 10 years earlier in 2015.

Lopez went on to explain the significance of AMA winning as the Honorees were chosen by fans.
“Winning an award voted by fans is incredibly special because it’s directly from the people you make the music for,” he said. “It’s just a humble experience.”
Lopez also flowed over the “huge honor” of hosting the amas in 2015, teasing, “I may do it again one day. Who knows?”
Lopez’s return comes to the amas three months after she complete his divorce from Ben Affleck in February. The pair tied the knot in July 2022, which filed for a divorce two years later in August 2024, listing their separation date in April.
