Courtesy of Jennifer Lopez/InstagramLopez admitted that she had been through a rough time late following his divorce from Ben Affleck and her tour canceled in 2024. Emme and Max secured, however, that the experiences would only make it – and them – stronger.
“I had a very difficult year. Things happened,” Lopez said in a new interview with The country in May. “And so I read a lot of books. I made a lot of self-intensification. I meditated. I prayed a lot. I wanted to improve my relationship with God. I wanted to solidify the family unit really me and my two children, my twins.”
He continued, “I said, ‘I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you are going to see that I will come out the other side stronger and better.’ I promised that and I did it.
Lopez also opened for being a working mother and how he took a career balance and became a parent toll on his family unit over the years.
“They probably didn’t get as much of me as they wanted, right? Because when you’re a working mother – and so many mothers who work out there know this – you always have that guilt. ‘I should be around more. I shouldn’t have left at all. I should have stayed home,’ he said at the outlet. “But they had the experience they had. And you always do your best as a mother.”
As they prepare to go to college next year, Lopez said she was grateful that she had Quality time with her children – and that they have to experience the highs and lows of her career.
“Looking back on him, it was an amazing experience. And I was glad I was able to take them all over the world. They were on a tour with me. They would go to American Idol with me,” he remembered, adding the last few years, “I’m glad I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, they are stronger and better because of that.
