In 2004, he struck gold again in a completely different vein playing Bette Porter in the Cast of Ensemble from The word lInnovative and fan-fan showtime lesbian drama.

Congratulations on the book! What inspired him?
Well, I’ve been a photographer since I was 16, and I documented everything from the first exercise to the last day of shooting the word L. It started as a personal gift for the cast and crew, but then realized that fans would love it too.
Speaking of the word L, any chance of another revival?
Whether or not the show continues, these stories need to be told. I’ve started a company, Runamok, to create new projects in the same vein. We are excited to find new stories.
What would you want for Bette if the show returned?
I would love to see her expand for her purpose. I can’t see her playing Pickleball only!
You also wrapped the new movie of the last fall, Hello out there. It is described as an alien drame?
Someone needs to rewrite that log line! It’s not about aliens – it’s about imagining what’s beyond what we think we know, especially in grief.
You are ever interested in big questions, aren’t you?
Since I was 5! I wanted to understand God. That led to tarot cards at the age of 7, to my mother’s chain. I reflect every day.
Back in December, You attended one of Taylor Swift’s last tour shows in Vancouver. Were you always fast?
I’m a bit of a hermit, so I almost didn’t go! But I’m so glad I did. It was a wonderful experience. Taylor gave himself everything, and it was an admiration and joy.
What’s your favorite Taylor song? Do you have one?
Oh my God, no, I don’t! Its catalog is so wide; There is a song for all the best.
Jennifer Beals in ‘Flashdance’
Everett Paramount/Courtesy CollectionLet’s talk flashdance. What does that legacy mean to you?
I am grateful that I have worked with (Director) Adrian Lyne and played a character striving for sovereignty. That’s what he echoed with people. I never expected him to have such a lasting effect. Hearing stories from fans is really moving.
Any standout memories behind the scenes?
I remember being on my little bike riding around the lot in Paramount, and just taking pictures of things that meant something to me that would mean nothing to anyone else.
Did you keep anything from the set?
I have the sweatshirt and band jacket. Someone stole my signed script, though! If you see it on eBay, it’s contraband.
What do you miss most about the ’80s?
The silence! No mobile phones. But I don’t really miss the ’80s.
