Garth, 52, took i Instagram on Thursday, January 9, to share that she and her family had taken refuge with Facinelli, 51, after leaving their home in Los Angeles due to the ongoing fires in the area.

“This is just devastating for everyone. I’m so sad. Great sadness today. My family and I are safe. Our home came through the night and we feel so blessed and so lucky and so fortunate,” Garth He said in a video to his 1.3 million followers. “Just pray for everyone else. We are so, so lucky more people weren’t hurt or caught in the fires.”

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared that she and her husband, Dave Abramsintending to return home and thanked her ex for letting them stay overnight. “Think we’re going to go back to our house. It’s a mess but it’s okay. It’s still there,” he said.

Garth continued, “I’m so grateful to Peter for letting us stay at his house – me and all the girls, and the dogs, and Dave.”

Garth and Facinelli first met in 1995 and were married between 2001 and 2013. They share three adult daughters, Luca27, Lola22, s Fiona18. Garth married the actor Abrams in 2015. Facinelli, meanwhile, is involved with an actress Lily Anne Harrisonwith whom he shares his son Jack, 2.

Garth reiterated her thanks to her ex in the caption of her Instagram post, writing, “Just wanted to let you know we’re safe. Peter and his family took us in and they have been so kind. I am very sad for our city and feel numb.”

“Our home was spared but so much to clean and ready to be active in helping our neighbors and our friends and our fellow Angelinos,” the actress continued, adding that her husband has been “carrying our all bags and boxes, loading and unloading.”

“I’m just thankful that we’re all okay and that we have a home to return to,” added Garth.

Wildfires broke out across Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, and continued through Thursday, ravaging the exclusive Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Santa Monica and Hollywood Hills. Stars included Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal a Miles Teller have lost their homes in the fires.
