Jenna Johnson spilled some secrets behind the scenes of working on Dancing with the stars.
“Are you paid more for winning?” Kelly Stafford Johnson, 31, asked on the episode on Monday, June 2, of her and Hank Winchester‘S. “The Morning After” podcast. Johnson answered, “No,” before explaining, “whoever makes it to the finale, you are all paid until then. And you get a nice bonus.”
Stafford, 36, followed another question, asking Johnson and Dump Advantages that are deleted during the first week of a new season “Don’t be paid for the next few rounds.” According to Johnson, “you have guaranteed a certain amount of weeks.”
He explained, “I think there are different contracts, so I can’t speak for everyone. But, if you do all the way to the end, you get paid the whole season, which is amazing. And you get a bonus on top of that for making it to the ending. If you win, it’s not like you win a million dollars and share it with your partner.”
The multiple outletsPro dancers on the ABC competition series are said to earn an initial salary of $ 1,200 to $ 1,600 per episode, which can increase to a cap of around $ 100,000 a season. On Monday’s podcast, Johnson closed speculating that the Dump Pro has a voice in which selebs they are in partnership with. “They really want to keep it secret until you meet them alive. They want that authentic response,” he shared, referring to the benefits being filmed meeting their partners during their first practice sessions.
“I think people always think we know who we have and we keep it a secret. Not absolutely. They don’t tell us,” he added. “They don’t even want us to know the cast. It’s dropped a lot, but they want him to get a very hush, hush, until you walk in and you meet your partner.”
When asked who would be her dream partner, Johnson taught her best choice in Olympiad whose identity she keeps under laps. However Johnson revealed that she believed former Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason Kelce makes great Dump Partner.
“That’s the person you want, who is just open and ready and down to be, ‘Let’s freak down this. This is a once in a lifetime chance. I’m not going to take myself too seriously. I want to dance and have fun,’”
