Like Hoda Kotb saying goodbye to Today, Jenna Bush Hager begins a new season of the fourth hour of the NBC morning show.
Following Kotb’s final chapter on Friday, January 10, Today With Hoda and Jenna is being revamped in Today With Jenna and Her Friends. The new show will see Bush Hager, 43, co-host alongside a rotating panel of celebrity guests until Kotb’s official successor is chosen.
“Whoever sits in this seat is going to have the easiest job in the world because they’re sitting next to you,” Kotb, 60, said on a September 2024 episode of Hoda and Jenna after publication Today exit “I mean, the only thing they have to do is not laugh so hard they pee their pants. That’s it. They have to keep going. You are this bright light, you always have been, and it’s your turn.”
At the time, Bush replied to Hager: “If I’m bright, it’s because I’m sitting in your glow.”

Kotb helped Bush Hager announce her first guest list during her tenure last week Todaydescribing her first three choices as “hitter-heavy-hitter, homerun (and) wow” on Monday, January 6, episode of Hoda and Jenna.
After hearing the brand new Jenna and her Friends theme song, Kotb tearfully told her TV partner: “I was picturing you and how proud I’m going to be of you walking from that wall to the desk with that song. It’s going to be amazing. It’s going to be amazing.”
