Bush Hager, 43, became emotional during Wednesday’s chapter, July 30, Today with Jenna & Friends As she talked about the Gracie Abrams a concert she attended with her husband, Henry Chase Hagerand their three children the night before.
“We were out on town,” he told Cohost Tyra BanksAdding that the show is “so much fun.” However, Bush Hager admitted that she became foggy during the concert because she was “going through something” with her family.
“Obviously, my eldest goes into a middle school. For whatever reason, we sat down, and – think how embarrassing this is as a child – and just see how exciting they were to her, I started crying,” he explained. “I was like, this is so beautiful, to see this concert through their eyes!”
The TV host added that she realized this could “be the last time” her eldest daughter, Mila, 12, who is in seventh grade, is “cool with sitting next to her mother in a concert.”
“In a few years, she’s going to be going with all her friends,” Bush Hager continued.
“And not Mum,” Banks, 51, intervened, noticing that Bush Hager was “going tearful now” as they reflected on the concert.
“I just thought, as, time goes so fast, and she’ll sit beside me and hold my hand a little,” added Bush Hager. “(My husband) was like, ‘Don’t cry, she humiliates!’”
Banks responded, “Those are the moments. Experiences are so important, because you are going to re -live that over and over again.”
The couple also share Poppy’s daughter, 9, and her son Hal, 5. Meanwhile, Banks shares Son York, 9, with ex-girlfriend Plum never.
Back in April Bush Hager revealed that she has A similar realization about Mila Growing up and wanting to spend time with other people while celebrating Halloween a few years ago.
“We had always had a Halloween with our family and family friends,” explained on Today. “Mila, my daughter was like, ‘I want to go to a trick or treat with other people.’ At first, I was like, ‘Wait – what? I realized: I’m not going to be the memories of all my children … we should make our children feel confident so they can go and be their own people.
In 2023, Bush Hager flowed for her role as a mother and said it is the most important job she has.
“It’s going so fast,” she told the outlet of raising her children. “So I want every moment with them to be valuable. And I want them to feel my presence not only to think that ‘Mum’s home and she’s tired again.’

“I’d say it was a kind of laissez-faire parenting of the ’80s and’ 90s,” Barbara, who shares a 3-year-old Cora Georgia and her 11-month-old son Edward with her husband Croig Coynehe said. “Our parents were around right, but we had a lot of freedom in playing outside and exploring our neighborhood and only kind of being out in a safe way, obviously.
He added, “The world is very different now. I long because that kind of parent is in this world.”
