Teen’s mother aum Jenelle Evans defends her decision to allow Jace to live with his father, Andrew Lewis.

“He was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 10 and most recently, in 2023, he was also diagnosed with great depression disorder as well as his ADHD and definite or odd disorder,” he explained. “With a defiant disorder, it is very difficult to deal with. Children act out purposefully because they want attention. They have no repentance. They have no empathy for what they did.”

“We never wanted to put it in front of the media and explain it because it was Jace’s privacy,” he explained. “Now we’ve reached the point where it has happened too many times, several events for years and years and years. Something had to be done.”
Evans remembered the moment that Lewis called and asked tearfully for help in experiencing a panic bout. Together, the couple decided it was better for Jace to move to Florida, where he could spend time with Lewis and his mother.
