Jemimah Rodrigues does a ‘Guitar Celebration’ after hitting stunning Maiden Hundred


Indian women’s national cricket team batsman Jemimah Rodrigues produced a magnificent effort with the bat in the ongoing second ODI against Ireland women’s national cricket team. The match between the two teams takes place at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Jemimah Rodrigues was the star of the Indian women’s national cricket team in the ongoing match against Ireland with the bat. The right-hander produced an amazing effort with the bat and ensured that he helped his team put a big total on the board in what is a virtual series decider.

Rodrigues, who came out to bat at number 4, slotted in at the start given by the top order. The middle-order batsman looked in fine touch from the start. He added his class with the bat and played some brilliant shots in his innings, putting pressure on the Irish bowlers.

Rodrigues first hit a solid half-century, and after that, he didn’t look back. He took the attack to the players of the Irish women’s national cricket team and smashed them all over the park. Maiden Ton’s wait finally ended for her as she reached the milestone in 90 balls.

Jemimah Rodrigues finished with an innings of 102 runs off 91 balls as she returned to the hut in the last over of the innings. The right-hander batted at a strike rate of over 112 and also hit 12 fours during her knock. Her effort saw the Indian women’s national cricket team post a grand total of 370 runs.

Speaking about her tickets, Jemimah Rodrigues said it means a lot to her as she waited a long time to get her tone. He said he wanted to be there for the team until the very end. He also spoke about his 183-year partnership with Harleen Deol (89). Speaking after the innings, he said:

“This means a lot. It’s been a long wait to get that hundred. More than anything, I’m glad the team gave me a role at number four and I was able to live up to it. Today the most important La thing for me was to be there until 50 because I know that racing is not a problem.

“But it’s just that feeling of batting all the way through – that was the thought process, and I’m glad I was able to do it. The hundred just came. Initially, it took me a while to get used to the conditions .I know at any time I can speed up, I have this game, but it was important for me to stay there while I was doing this, Harleen was telling me “keep playing, keep playing”.
