Vice -President JD Vance was one of Pope Francis’ last visitors to the first Jesuit, who led the Catholic Church, died at the age of 88.

“I know you didn’t feel great but nice to see you in health,” Vens Pope said. “Thank you for seeing me.”
Vens acknowledged the news of the Pope’s death in the beginning of Monday.
“I just learned about the passage of Pope Francis,” the vice president wrote on X.

Vnes’s Office stated that the vice -president “expressed gratitude to Pope Francis for inviting him to meet Easter Sunday and for the Vatican hospitality spread to his family.”
“I pray for you every day,” Vnes said, saying goodbye to Francis. “God forbid you.”

In general, Vens’s motorcade was in the Vatican territory for 17 minutes, the Associated Press reports. Vnes acknowledged the criticism of Francis, but stated that he would continue to defend his views. During his speech on February 28, at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, Vnes did not address this issue specifically, but called himself a “children’s Catholic” and admitted that there is “things about a faith that I do not know.”

Vnes met with the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro -Pietrin and Foreign Minister, Archbishop Paul Gallager.
Vnes’ Office stated that he and Paralin “discussed his common religious faith, Catholicism in the United States, the difficult situation of persecuted Christian communities around the world and the commitment of President Trump to restore the world.”
