Jamie Lee Curtis is trying to process Charlie KirkDays of death after he was shot and killed at Utah University.
“I’m going to bring something with you just because he was in front of the mind. Charlie Christ was killed two days ago,” Curtis, 66, shared on the episode on Monday, September 15, Maron’s mark‘S. “WTF” podcast. “Sorry, Kirk. I call him Christ, I believe, because of Christ, because of his deep belief.”
Although Curtis acknowledged that she disagreed with Kirk on “almost every point I have ever heard say,” the actress wanted to highlight his religious beliefs.
“I think he is a faith man, and I hope in that moment when he died that he felt connected with his faith,” he said as emotional. “Although I find out what his ideas were with me, I still believe that he is a father and husband and faith man, and I hope whatever ‘connection with God’, he feels that.”
Kirk was speaking at an event at the Utah Valley University campus in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, September 10, when shoot and kill. He died at the age of 31 and his wife survives, Erika Kirk (née frantzve), and their two children.
The police noted Tyler Robinson Like Charlie’s Alleged shooter on Friday, September 12, and confirmed that he was at the police custody. He is currently caught without bail at Utah County Jail.
Curtis also arose the fact that the moment Charlie was shot on video. He asked the impact it could have on people in the future.

Mike Marsland/Wirimage“Today, we as a society are being born with imagery,” he said before referring to the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. “Therefore, we do not know the longitudinal effects of seeing those towers coming down and over and over again or watching Charlie over and over again.”
“We are insignificant, but they are there,” Curtis continued when discussing violent images. “We don’t know, we don’t know enough psychologically about what that does. What does that do?”
As Oscar’s winner continues to process Charlie’s death, preparations are underway for a Public Memorial Service In honor of the founder of Turning Point USA.
The memorial – called “Building Legacy, Remembering Charlie Kirk” – will be held on Sunday, September 21, at State Farm in Glendale, Arizona. The location is home to the NFL Arizona Gardinals and can hold as many as 73,000 people.
“Charlie loved his children and loved me with all his heart and I knew it every day. He made sure I knew it every day,” Erika said in a living stream through X Charlie on Friday. “Every day he would ask me, ‘How can I serve you better? How can I be a better husband? How can I be a better dad?’ … He was such a good man.
