James Kennedy Will Not Face Charges After Domestic Violence Arrest

James Kennedy He will not be charged after his 2024 arrest for domestic violence.

“I was informed by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office that no charges will be filed against James Kennedy,” Kennedy’s attorney. Scott Lemon say Us Weekly in a statement on Wednesday, January 22. “I want to thank them for conducting a thorough and professional review of the matter, including my client.”

The statement continued, “Their diligent investigation confirmed what we have maintained from the beginning — there was no basis for any charges to be filed against Mr. Kennedy. James is grateful to have this matter behind him and is looking forward to continuing to focus on his sobriety and DJ career.”

Kennedy, 32, was arrested last month on a charge of domestic misconduct after an alleged incident with a girlfriend Ally Lewber. He denied any wrongdoing at the time.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by the Burbank Police Department against James,” Kennedy’s attorneys he said in a statement at the time. “We understand there were no injuries and we hope that after a careful review, the city attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

According to a police report, local officers were called to a residence shared by Kennedy and Lewber in Los Angeles after receiving an emergency call about an alleged fight. Kennedy was released from police custody within hours after posting $20,000 bail.

Days later, Lewber, 28, broke her silence on the incident.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me,” she wrote via Instagram Story. “I’m fine and taking the time I need at the moment. I really appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”

Before the holidays, Lewber left her and Kennedy’s home in favor of an Airbnb with her parents. Neither Bravo star has confirmed whether their relationship is officially over, although a source said Us earlier this month that friends believes they are “done.”

“I’m committed to making meaningful changes in my life,” she wrote via Instagram Story on December 14. “I’m taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones. Navigating challenging moments is not easy but I am determined to learn, grow and move forward with the amazing support system around me.”
