James Kennedy and Ally Lewber Split After Domestic Violence Arrest

Ally Lewber confirmed his split from James Kennedy after two years of dating.

“Thank you all for your support and kindness. I’m happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never wanted criminal charges,” Lewber, 28, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, January 22. “We had an argument outside his home involved him drinking again, however, I was not physically hurt.”

She continued, “We are no longer together, but I will always support James and wish him the best with his sobriety and healing. Thank you for your understanding.”

The division comes after Kennedy’s arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence. Us Weekly it was confirmed in December 2024 that the police had been sent to the Kennedy home on December 10 after that receive a phone call about an argument between a man and a woman. The authorities saw Kennedy, 32, allegedly grabbing the woman but officers at the scene did not see any visible injuries.

Kennedy’s attorneys released a statement after he was released on $20,000 bail.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by the Burbank Police Department against James,” his legal team said in a statement to Us. “We understand there were no injuries and we hope that after a careful review, the city attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

The DJ broke his silence a week later to say he was which prioritized his mental health amid his legal issues, writing via Instagram, “I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life. I take time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones.”

Kennedy, who has a history of substance abuse, continued: “Navigating challenging moments is not easy but I am determined to learn, grow and move forward with the amazing support system around me.”

Meanwhile, Lewber make a rare comment about the situation on December 14, 2024. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me,” Lewber wrote via his Instagram Story. “I’m fine and taking the time I need at the moment. I really appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”

Lewber previously denied allegations that Kennedy was physically aggressive to her. After Bravo co-stars Teddy Mellencamp a Judge Tamra claiming that they witnessed an incident between the previous couple, Lewber was closed down on Scheana Shay‘s “Scheananigans” podcast.

“That’s crazy to me that it’s the most asked question (to me). That makes me very sad, because no, I’m good. That never happened. There was no physical disturbance,” he told Shay, 39, at the time. “Yes, we were in the car together. I thought we were having fun. We were having fun. But then James and I got into an argument, but there was no physical attack. I wasn’t bleeding, and they didn’t have to get out of the car and separate us. So that didn’t happen. That’s all I’ll say on that.”
