Jacob Bethell, the young baptism of England, will miss the Playoff IPL 2025 matches for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) due to the commitments to the national team. The team led by Rajat Patidar has introduced Tim Seifert to replace Bethell with the crucial phase of the tournament.
Jacob Bethell has to leave Royal Challengers Bengaluru after the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 23. RCB, who has already won a place in the Playoffs IPL 2025, still have two league games. They will face LuckNow Super Giants (LSG) in their last league game.
Tim Seifert replaces Jacob Bethell ahead of the Playoffs IPL 2025
On May 22, the IPL announced that Royal Challengers Bengaluru has signed Tim Seifert as a replacement by Jacob Bethhell. The official statement confirmed that Seifert will be available for team selection from May 24.

According to a shared launch by IPL, “Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has signed in Tim Seifert as Jacob Bethell will leave the first game of the Premier Indian Tata (IPL) 2025 for England on May 24, 2025, after the RCB league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23, 2025 – to join the team of England. Replacement will be effective from May 24, 2025. ”
