The 21 -year -old National Cricket team of England, which beat the entire launcher Jacob Bethell, has again publicly attributed his professional advancement to Virat Kohli.
Jacob Bethell said that playing with the Indian Cricket National Team by beating a great kohli in Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was a great experience for him and made him a better player.

Jacob Bethell in RCB in numbers

He broke 55 runs in the game against five times champions and built a 97 -track opening stand on 59 balls. Bethell then lost the Playoffs stage of the IPL 2025 because he was called to England for the white ball series against the western Indies, where he showed a brilliant performance in every game, contributing to both bat and dance.

During an interaction about Sky Cricket, Mark Butcher asked Jacob Bethell about his experience of playing with Kohli. “Talking about players who are a little closer to your age, what happens to some of the ones you’ve recently had? I remember talking to you about how long you spent Kohli in RCB. How did the senior players around you, including the tastes of a shot, have been a help for you in terms of rise and your constant improvement?” asked the former player of England.
In response to this, Jacob Bethell said Kohli was incredible to help him out and see that the RCB legend’s legend’s game made him a better player. Said:
“It has been great. (Spread) was incredible to help -me, and even only the things he did not say personally, but to see how he goes to training and how he approaches things.”

Bethell also said that one of the notable things he learned while observing Kohli was how he established the workforce of his entrances while chasing.
“Especially how to chase a T20 game. It was incredible to see and amazing to see first hand, the ease that is able to change and lower its gears and is able to plant an entry according to what things need to be needed,” he added.
Jacob Bethell also said that spending time with Harry Brook, Ben Duckett and others in the dressing room in England has been very helpful for him. Stated:
“And then yes, passing to other players from this England locker room, Brookie, Ducky, have been fantastic in speaking, beat. You speak very, obviously, you spend a lot of time together, to learn from those guys who have played a lot of cricket, it was fantastic.”
