The writer and grandson from before President John F. Kennedy trolled the internet on Thursday, January 2, when he claimed through X that he took Baldoni, 40, as a client.
“I agreed to take on JUSTIN balDONI as a client. Why? BE FAIR,” wrote Schlossberg, 31. “EVERYONE has the right to a FAIR TRIAL and DEFENSE. Justin has NOTHING to hide, Justice will be his revenge. Although Schlossberg was only joking, fans and the media fell for him, with some outlets publishing stories claiming the Vogue Baldoni’s lawyer was, in fact, a political reporter.

Schlossberg passed the bar exam in 2023 and graduated from Harvard Law School the previous year. He added on Tuesday, “My personal feelings about Justin Baldoni are irrelevant. Justin is my client, I am his lawyer. even the most horrible individuals have the right to counsel for their protection. I am not a hero. I’m just doing my job.”

Gotham/Image WireWhile those who were in on the joke had fun, Baldoni’s real lawyer Bryan Freedman he told the Daily Mail that the stunt was “ridiculous.”
“No one on my team has spoken to him,” Freedman added.
Schlossberg took a victory lap on Instagram, sharing screenshots of news articles claiming to be Baldoni’s lawyer through his Stories.

Baldoni is currently suing The New York Times for $250 million, claiming libel and false light invasion of privacy following a story it ran about Lively accusing him of sexual harassment. Freedman added in an interview Thursday with NBC News that he too plans to sue Lively37, on behalf of his client.
“We plan to release every single text message between the two of them,” Freedman said. “We want the truth to be out there. We want the documents to be out there. We want people to make their decision based on receipts.”
The same day Baldoni filed his suit against the TimesLively suede Baldoni, as well as his publishers Melissa Nathan a Jennifer Abeland Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer. She claims sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and loss of wages.
“I hope my legal action will help pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak out about wrongdoing and help protect others who may be targeted,” he said in a statement on 21 December i Us Weekly.
