American love storythe next installment at Ryan Murphy‘S. The story of America Series, in the works and will tell a story John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Bessette. But after photos on their first sight have been shared this week, one member of the Kennedy family is not happy that the series is being made at all.
Jack SchlossbergNai the late Jfk Jr. and son Caroline Kennedyhe took to his Instagram stories On Thursday, June 19, to reveal that his family was never told about the series and to RIP Murphy, 59, about “Grotesque (ly)” benefiting away from his uncle’s tragic death.
“Recently, my news feed has been filled with pictures of my uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., a great man,” wrote Schlossberg, 32. “For those who wonder his family ever consulted, or has anything to do with the new shows made about it, the answer is no.
The series will follow Kennedy and Bessette Throughout the 1990s, from the time they met in 1992 to their death in a plane crash in 1999 off the coast of Massachusetts. Kennedy was 38 and Bessette was 33 at the time.

“The right to privacy, which includes the ability to control your own name, image and similarity, does not survive death in New York province,” continued Schlossberg. “In that regard, he has considered a public figure, so there’s not much we can do.”
“I hope those who make these shows about him take seriously what he was standing for in his life, everything he achieved in. And they give some of the profit (that) they do,” he added.
The nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., comes from a long line of commendable politicians. The presidential candidate was born in 1954 to Robert F. Not the problem, says Schlossberg, is that the series is being done, this is the way he thinks Murphy and his team will benefit from it.
“For the record, I think admiration for my uncle John is great. What I don’t think is great to benefit from it in a grotesque way,” he said.
American love story has no release date yet but an executive producer Brad Simpson teased the project, which will fly on FX, in an interview in September 2024 with Diversity.
“We have great scripts on that. We are trying to find out when it will land,” he said. “It’s a story that really resonates at the moment. It’s amazing. Many younger women look to (Bessette) as a kind of representative icon of a set period of time that is really interesting, and hopefully we’ll be able to bring that to the screen soon.”
