The Osbournes announced that they were working on one last black Sabbath show in February, to take place in the hometown of Ozzy in Birmingham. The proceeds of the event benefited Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
“My time to go back to the beginning.… It’s time for me to give back to where I was born,” Ozzy said in a statement at the time. “How wonderful I do with the help of people I love. Birmingham is the true metal home. Birmingham forever.”
Ozzy retired from traveling in 2023, following his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease and a serious spinal injury. An educator recently confirmed a rock and role immortal gallery on his radio show Sirius XM who is no longer able to walk, but promised not to let that stop him performed for fans of his hometown One last time.

“I do weight (a) riding bikes, I have a man living in my house that works with me,” said Ozzy The guardian in May. “It’s hard. I’ve been raised for such a long time. I’ve been lying on my back doing nothing and the first thing to go is your strength. It’s, like, starting again.”
He went on, “I have walking problems. I also have blood pressure problems from blood clots on my legs. I used to do two hours on stage, jump and run around. I don’t think I’ll do a lot of jumping or running around this time. Maybe I’m sitting down.”
Ozzy began his career with Black Sabbath in the late 1960s, before going individually in 1979. He has sold over 100 million albums throughout his career, and is a member of the UK Music Music Fame Gallery.
