Kl Rahul, who won the Wicketkeeper Team India, played a crucial role under pressure on the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy winning campaign. After the final, TV presenter Sanjana Ganes, who is also the wife of Jasprit Bumrah, asked Rahul about the experience of keeping doctors in the formidable Spanish quartet in India.

Varun Chakaravarthy ended up as the highest wicker in India with Mohammed Shami, collecting 9 doctors in just three games. Kuldeep Yadav grabbed 7 doctors, while Jadja and Axar were combined for 10 scalops. Generally, India spinners took 26 doctors, the largest for any team in the tournament.
KL Rahul also praised Indian spinners for their outstanding performances in the champions trophy. Rahul emphasized that his ability to exploit the conditions made his work behind the collisions even tougher.
“They are of high quality. The launches obviously helped them a bit, which made them even more dangerous. This makes it even more difficult for me behind the collisions. The way they have been turned, the way they used these conditions have been phenomenal,” Rahul continued.
The 32 -year -old expressed his joy to win his first ICC title. He stated that each player increased when he was given the opportunity, which led to his success.
“ICC’s victories are not so easy to achieve and it’s my first, so I’m on the moon,” Rahul said.
“It has been a complete team effort, the 11-12 players have stood and their opportunity and opportunity has arrived and it is one of the most important reasons why we ended up winning the tournament.”
