‘It’s all fake’: Morrell says Benavidez is a ‘little chick’ and promises to KO him

David Morrell tells ‘Mexican Monster’ character that David Benavidez is just a fake identity and that he really is “A fat chicken.WBA light heavyweight ‘regular’ champion Morrell (11-0, 9 KOs) vows to “knock out” Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) to expose him as a fraud in the light of day.

Morrell vs. Benavidez will headline a 12-round fight in 15 days on Feb. 1 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event can be seen live on PBC on Prime Video PPV. Benavidez will have his interim WBC 175-pound belt on the line which he recently captured against Oleksandr Gvozdyk on June 15 of last year.

Counterfeit monster?

This fight will show whether or not Benavidez is as good as he and his fans think he is fools gold, which has had naive fans fooled all along. They want Benavidez to replace Canelo Alvarez so bad that they don’t open their eyes to see that he’s been fighting ham and egger his whole career. The fans want Benavidez to be their new hero so much that they are unwilling to acknowledge the blemishes on him and that he is not the genuine article.

“You’re the king? I’m coming for you. Get out of here,” David Morrell said PPV.comspeaking of David Benavidez, who has been putting on airs like he’s the top dog in the 175-pound division, but has no credible wins and looked atrocious in his light heavyweight debut.

“I’ve got it all. Speed, power, defense, attack, moving legs. I’ve got it all. I don’t know why people say he’s ‘The Monster’. Boom. He’s going down 100%. I promise I’ll knock him out” , Morrell said.

“The ‘Mexican Monster’ everything is fake. It’s what we call in Cuba, ‘A hen’. Benavidez is not the same as me,” said Morrell. “In Cuba, we took the lunch money from him. Such a fat boy. I don’t mean I’m a poor kid, but I mean, man, it’s different. That hunger that Cubans have. I dare say few have. I waited for this fight for a long time. Right now, it’s more serious.”

Fans who were mentally awake saw when they watched Benavidez’s last fight against 37-year-old Oleksandr Gvozdyk that he wasn’t the fighter they thought he was. He worked this fight and got pounded in the second half.

Benavidez got hurt in the 12th, and luckily it didn’t happen earlier in the round because Gvozdyk was lighting him like a candle. This was hard to watch.

Benavidez’s excuses, since he blames his terrible performance on hand injuries, do not pass the laughing test. He wasn’t the same guy now fighting where he should have been since the beginning of his career at 175, and he couldn’t handle facing someone his size.

am i coming

“I’m going to go in there and fight for my life, and he’s trying to take everything from me,” David Benavidez said of Morrell. “When I look at David Morrell, I’m thinking, ‘His team, his dog, his cat and everybody over there’. My main job is to beat him, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”

What is Benavidez talking about? Why does he mention Morrell’s dog and cat? It seems pure paranoia on his part to include his pets as part of his reason for having to beat him. I mean, ‘The Mexican Monster’ has the toughest opponent of his career, his first real test with his size, younger than him and with more power.

Benavidez needs to prove that he is real and not just a headlight who got through all those years by burning himself out to fight in a smaller weight class than his massive frame and mostly picking on big guys. If he loses this fight against Morrell, it just means he was fake, and his whole career was a sham.
