From 2016 to 2019, there were constant suggestions to change. At any given time, it was very hard because there was too many captain. I was captain for 7-8 years and RCB for 9 years.

Kohli also emphasized the importance of having a space in his life where he could simply play Cricket without the constant burden of trial or expectations. He expressed the desire to be free from the pressure of being evaluated about what he could achieve in a certain season or what the future has for him.

“I have to have a space in my life where I can only come to play my cricket without being judged, without being considered how you will do this season and what will happen now” Kohli added.

Kohli’s possession of captaincy was marked by notable successes and intense challenges. He directed India For almost a decade, from 2014 to 2021, through formats, transforming the team into a formidable force, particularly in the test cricket.
