Their bodies were found in the southern district of Khan Unis Gaza overnight and returned to Israel for court identification.
Now 56 hostages remain in Gaza, at least 20 of which are believed to be alive.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he and his wife had sent condolences to Judi and Haggi’s families.
“Our hearts mourn about this terrible loss. Let their memories be blessed,” he added.
“I would like to thank and thank the fighters and commanders for this decisive and successful operation. We will not rest, and we will not remain silent until we return home all our hostages – alive and dead.”
The couple’s families remembered how they “went out for a walk in the morning that cursed on Saturday and never returned.”
“We welcome the closure and their return to the proper burial of the house, in Israel,” the statement said.
The hostage and disappeared families’ forum called on the decisions executives to do their best to agree to the new Hamas ceasefire agreement to ensure the return of all other hostages.
“No more than 608 days of excruciating days,” the statement said. “The mission can be completed tomorrow morning. This is what most people of Israel want.”
Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack almost 20 months ago, killing about 1,200 people and 251 took the hostage.
At least 54 607 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health on the territory.
