Palestinian journalists’ syndicate condemned the arrest of a well -known local journalist Israeli troops on the occupied West Bank.
Ali al-Samudi, who actively worked with the western media, was detained during a son’s home raid in the North City of Jenin at the beginning of Tuesday.
The 58-year-old guy was questioned for half an hour in an unknown place, and later he was transferred to an Israeli hospital because of his health deterioration, his son Mohammed said.
The Israeli military said the Samudi “identified with (Palestinian) Islamic terrorist organization” and “suspected of transferring” without giving any evidence.
His family strongly denied his participation and stated that he had never encountered such an accusation in his long career.
They said that the Israeli authorities did not tell them about the name of the hospital, where they were addressed or other details.
It is expected to be brought to the military court next Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Israeli military personnel separately announced that security forces detained a total of 24 desired persons who “participated in the transfer of funds terrorist organizations”, including three of Jenin, during raids on the western shore.
